Groupe ADP holds 46.12% of the Turkish airport operator “TAV Airports” and 49% of “TAV Construction”. With 34 airports managed directly or indirectly and nearly 252 million passengers welcomed each year, the group has carved out its place among the three biggest airport operators in the world.TAV Airports is the most important Turkish airport operator and has become the leader in airport services in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The group is involved in each stage of the airport value chain: its subsidiaries are active in Duty Free, catering, ground-handling services, security, operational services and information systems.
TAV Airports manages a portfolio of thirteen airports in 6 countries: Istanbul Ataturk, Ankara-Esenboga, Izmir-Adnan Menderes, Antalya- Gazipasa and Milas-Bodrum Airport in Turkey, as well as airports in Tunisia (Monastir and Enfidha-Hammamet), Georgia (Tbilissi and Batoumi), Macedonia (Skopje and Ohrid) and Saudi Arabia (Medina). It also handles shops and catering at Riga airport in Lithuania, and is present at Zagreb airport together with Groupe ADP.
In 2015, an annual traffic increase of 8% pushed the TAV Airports group’s turnover up by 9.8% to €1079 million.
Groupe ADP further owns 49% of the capital of TAV Construction, a company that specialises in the building and maintenance of airport infrastructures.
TAV Construction, which is very present in the Middle East and on the Arabian Peninsula, is particularly active in the Sultanate of Oman and in Abu Dhabi, where it is currently building a new terminal for 27 million passengers.
The company also distinguished itself in Medina and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and in Turkey with the building of the brand new domestic terminal in Izmir.
TAV Construction has further won several calls for tender, for example for the building of Terminal 5 in Riyadh and some new skyscrapers in Dubai.
It is the largest airport construction company in the world in terms of turnover with €983 million in 2015.
