It is March 13, 1974 at 6 in the morning that landed on the only runway at Paris -Charles de Gaulle airport, a Boeing 747 TWA from New York. A few days before it was Prime Minister Pierre Mesmer who officially
opened the Paris -Charles de Gaulle Airport and particularly Terminal 1 designed by Paul Andeu .
Today, the airport celebrates its 40th anniversary . Paris -Charles de Gaulle, is now the second European airport in terms of traffic with 62 million passengers in 2013 , it now has 4 tracks and covers an over 3000 hectares or one third the area of the capital.
