The Festival Silhouette celebrates its 15th anniversary
This summer, how about discovering the capital from a fresh perspective—on the occasion of an open air film festival? 15th edition Festival Silhouette, from August 26th to September 3rd, 2016. (in French)
On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, the Festival Silhouette invites the cinema lovers and curious people to view films, documentaries, music videos or animated films or fictions under the stars!
From 7pm, festivities start with a concert of a group from the new French scene. Then—at 9pm—the screening begins at the heart of the Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge—in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
By the way, every presented film is submitted to three judging panels (professional, young and the public’s) that will each one award its prize.
To enjoy the films, you just have to sit on the park’s lawn—on a blanket for example—and take advantage of the soft summer evenings while admiring the show.
From 7pm / Free entrance.

La Grrrrrande Prairie is back for its 9th edition
Until next September 1st, La Bellevilloise turns into a loft with lush vegetation where it is good to eat, have a rest, go shopping and educate yourself.
On the spot, the curious people can enjoy the deckchairs, an ephemeral library and numerous games for young and old alike.
Throughout the event named La Grrrrrande Prairie, concerts, DJ sets, screenings and creative workshops are organised.
To drink and eat, a biergarten (or ‘beer garden’ in German) has been installed—with big wooden tables around which you have a good time and put the world to rights.
Finally, fashion shows, creator stands and clothes swaps await fashion lovers. While some people are making a purchase, the others can attend artistic performances.
A one of a kind moment which can be lived in family, as a couple or with friends.
La Grrrrrande Prairie, from July 15th to September, 1st, 2016.

17th edition of the festival Tréteaux Nomades
Every summer, the Mystère Bouffe company organizes an event dedicated to performing arts and street art—les Tréteaux Nomades.
For its 17th edition, this theatre festival gathers burlesque, musical, poetic creations or comedia dell’arte or fairground show in out of the ordinary places.
This year, performances take place in three places in Paris—the Hôtel de Beauvais in the Marais (4th), Place Sainte-Marthe (10th) and at the Arènes de Montmartre (18th).
It is the opportunity to discover or rediscover classics like Molière’s play ‘The Doctor In Spite of Himself’—revisited by Gaspard Fasulo—or ‘Le Capitaine Fracasse’ by Théophile Gautier—staged by Carlo Bosso.
The festival Tréteaux Nomades also suggests ‘Peste soit des Avares’—a play written and staged by Anna Cottis—after Plautus, Molière and Akhunzadeh.

It’s La Démesure time
Behind a black front window—at the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris—an excessively fascinating address is hidden.
Both a cocktail bar, a restaurant, a karaoke and a club, this hybrid place attracts night owls.
Opened by Filipe Alves—L’Atelier des Artistes’ owner—La Démesure has several bars—of which one opens on the kitchens.
The most beautiful is installed on the basement and is decorated in a design way with midnight blue, red and amber tones. We like the cocktails concocted by Boris Ponthieu— the former head of the Baron’s bar—one of the current most connected Parisian clubs.
On the kitchen, we let us be tempted by a risotto with black pudding or by a semi-cooked tuna served with a homemade barbecue sauce—then by a fried brioche or a crème brûlée.
As a bonus, the place organizes concerts during the week or suggests an electro piano-bar on Wednesdays and Thursdays evenings.
On the weekend, the place resonates to the DJ sets sounds until late into the night. Finally, it is possible to have a brunch on the weekend with friends or family.
Open from Monday to Friday from noon to 3pm and from 7pm to 2am, on Saturday from 7pm to 2am.
Lunch formula for 14.50 euros / Cocktails from 12 euros.

MYL: The Canal de l’Ourcq’s healthy and gourmet address
Nested just nearby the Canal de l’Ourcq and the MK2 cinemas—MYL—for ‘MakeYourLunch’ is the perfect gourmet address for summer.
Here, we eat 100% local fresh products in a space with minimalist look and concrete floor, benches, wooden tables and a nice sunny terrace.
The concept of the place is simple—here, you ‘make your lunch’. Indeed, customers have the choice among around forty ingredients (herbs, seeds, fruits, vegetables and meats) to concoct both a healthy and delicious meal.
Choose your basis (salad, pasta, quinoa, rice) then add some tuna, mozzarella balls, linseeds, peppers or smoked salmon, then an original sauce and that’s all there is to it!
MYL also suggests every day an ongoing fresh juice, like for example the one made using grape-carrot and fennel or the one made from apple-cucumber-grape and mint—to get all the vitamins you need.
As a bonus, it is possible to eat on the spot or to take your meal away to savour it at the water’s edge.
Open from Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6pm.
Formulas: from 6.90 euros.
The ongoing fresh juice: 4.50 euros.
