An unforgettable night in the Parisian museums
This year again, Parisian, French and European museums are inviting curious people to experience a unique evening. As soon as night falls and until around midnight, the most famous places of art of the capital will be opening their doors for free.
Free tour of the Louvre Museum’s collections or walk in the aisles of the different exhibitions in the Centre Pompidou or the Arts décoratifs? Everything will be possible according to your tastes and desires. This year, for the first time in nocturnal, night-owls will be lucky to discover the Royal Stables at the palace of Versailles (78).
The European Night of museums coincides too with the reopening of the museum Jean-Jacques Henner, located in the 17th arrondissement, just nearby the Champs-Elysées. For this occasion, the public will be welcomed by the dancers of the Paris Opera along with the flute ensemble “Paris de Vent”. A memorable night which will also enable to attend dance shows, concerts or workshops.

The aquatic aesthetic at art’s service
Until next June 12th, the Aquarium Tropical de la Porte Dorée is honouring the beauty of aquatic environments and its animals through art. These are works of artists, designers and fashion designers which are here displayed. All are inspired by the seafloor. Divided into three paths, this exhibition enables to understand the vulnerability of the aquatic nature and the necessity to preserve it.
Therefore, we discover the poetic underwater photographs of the director Zena Hollowayor oils, acrylics, drawings and installations of Dominique Lestel, a distinguished French philosopher and ethologist. The Californian designer Roxy Russell alerts us to pollution of oceans by plastic waste, with “Medusae”, a series of suspended lamps. Finally, the retrospective takes us to the Amazon rainforest where the marine and river fauna is everywhere in the local art.
Exhibition “Art mode design, esthétique du monde aquatique”, from March 1st to June 12th 2016.
Open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5:30pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.

From May 18th to 22th, go to discover the marvels of the fauna and flora, on the occasion of the 10th edition of the Fête de la Nature.
For 5 days, more than 5,000 free events through contact with the nature are organised everywhere in France. In Paris, festivities will begin with the Village de l’agriculture urbaine et de la biodiversité, installed on the esplanade of the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie. Here, the public will be learning how to produce compost, to build boxes for a vegetable garden or to cultivate in town.
Hikes, picnics, guided workshops and tours - at the Jardin des Plantes and the Parc de Bercy, for example - will also be suggested. This one of a kind event enables to understand how nature works but to marvel too, quite simply.

Le Dalí, at the Meurice
In this restaurant where Salvador Dalí’s soul reigns supreme, decorated by the designer Philippe Starck, the club sandwich is revisited in a starred version. Of course, it is suggested in its traditional version, with chicken, but the Dalí’s flagship recipe remains the blue lobster club sandwich. Here, we enjoy it in a warm and muted atmosphere with mahogany and granulated leather chairs as well as golden and precious ochre tones. The Meurice also serves this dish with smoked salmon or under its vegetarian form.
Open every day, for lunch from 12:30pm to 3pm and for dinner from 7pm to 10:30pm.
Blue lobster club sandwich: 68 euros.

The Harry’s New York Bar
Open since 1911, this cocktail bar, jazz club and American restaurant is a Parisian tradition.
Created by a New Yorker, the Harry’s New York bar is also famous for its typical decoration, which takes us to the old Manhattan pubs, with its beautiful panelling. Here, the club sandwich is one of the flagship dishes of the menu. It is available in one recipe, the classic one, with ham, bacon, chicken, eggs, cheese, tomato, salad and toast. Suggested in a little price formula, it goes, up to us, with a glass of wine, a beer, a fizzy drink or water.
Open from Sunday to Thursday, from noon to 2am and on Friday and Saturday, from noon to 3pm.
Club sandwich for 19.50 euros.

Here it is possible to enjoy a club sandwich in two different atmospheres: in the Tuileries Bar or in the restaurant boudoir Le First, decorated by Jacques Garcia in golden and purple tones. The Chef David Real concocts several versions: duck with sweet orange, king crab and guacamole or in traditional version served with parmesan chips (with truffe oil, chopped parsley and parmesan) and young lettuce sprouts.
