Following on the heels of the "Selfies" project, Paris-Orly Airport is getting ready to host a new special event. Passengers, local residents, and members of the airport community are all cordially invited to come to the airport to talk about their favourite memories.
Whether its stories of escape, meeting up, going on a trip, reuniting with someone, setting off for a new life, or exploring some place new, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac will transform your memories into a monumental work of art set to cover the facade of Orly South.
Aéroports de Paris has given famous designer and fashion mogul Jean-Charles de Castelbajac free rein over its new campaign, #welcomestories, which follows on from last year's "selfies" project at Orly South.LaIn November, the facade of Orly South will get a brand new look. This part of the airport will be covered with a fresco composed of a hundred original drawings by the artist inspired by "emotions" shared by travellers and airport employees. Passengers as well as Aéroports de Paris and partner employees are invited to send their best memories of the airport to welcomestories.adp.fr . Jean-Charles de Castelbajac will then select the entries that most inspire him and create an illustration of the story.
A hundred winners will receive a signed reproduction of the artwork.
Photos of the fresco will be published on social networks as the work progresses. The campaign will culminate with an inaugural event attended by the artist and those involved in the project.
Stop by in November to see a drawing of your favourite memory of the airport on the facade!
