éroports de Paris walks in step with COP21.
The 21st UN Conference on Climate Change, to be held in France from November 30 to December 11, cannot be overlooked.
Limiting the global warming is a key stake of Aéroports de Paris Group strategy in 2016-2020, with three goals :
1. Reduce from 50% greenhouse gas emissions of airports buildings and equipment between 2009 and 2020
2. Increase energy efficiency from 1.5% yearly over 2016-2020
3. Raise the share of renewable energies in our internal consumption at 15% by 2020
Furthermore, to control and reduce both its internal and external impact, Aéroports de Paris has five major commitments, as stated in the CSR Charter.
For two weeks, Paris-Orly, Paris-Le Bourget and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports will offer a warm welcome to COP21 guests.
35 welcome visuals, 70 road signs and 11 mobile counters with a welcome staff ready to guide participants to the best means of transport.
Aéroports de Paris will also engage in advocacy and communications, with a 30-second film broadcast on our terminal screens, large panels deployed along the outer pathways of Paris-Charles de Gaulle and the façades of Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget with the event’s colors.
As a further demonstration of our commitment, our group has published Aéroports de Paris will be there for climate at COP21, explaining how the company integrates sustainable development, environmental issues and social responsibility. The 10,000 copies, in both French and English, will be distributed to invited delegations and journalists.
