United Way L’Alliance builds young people’s professional future

The findings

98,000 young people drop out of the education system each year without any qualification… Because it’s vital to act from the start and in the long term, United Way L’Alliance co-builds programmes where private, public and solidarity stakeholders have a joint commitment to address priority issues in the various regions.

Thanks to the L’Alliance programme, I’m a better student today, and I find it easier to open up to others. My trainee period in a company made me want to continue my studies and to find out what I want to do later.

United way l'Alliance's mission

Its “Défi Jeunesse” programme aims to create the right conditions for a chosen professional future for young people through group and individual support. 6,216 middle- and high-school learners from priority regions received support in the 2018-2019 school year to develop their desire to push themselves, be innovative, and prepare their entry in the professional world. Thanks to the mobilisation of Groupe ADP employees, some 350 youngsters from Val-d’Oise and Val-de-Marne got the chance to explore the corporate world and talk with professionals.
