Paris-Aéroport Charles de Gaulle signed a strategic partnership with Beijing-Daxing Airport

Marc Houalla, CEO of Paris-Aéroport Charles de Gaulle, and Yao Yabo, CEO of Beijing-Daxing Airport, signed a memorandum of strategic partnership on November 6th.



This agreement defines the guidelines of a special relation between the two platforms, planning the sharing of best practices, innovation, and development of liaisons, cooperation dealing with consulting or engineering…


The signing ceremony offered the Commander in Chief of Beijing-Daxing Airport to remind the decisive, well-known and appreciated commitment of ADP Ingénierie, part of Groupe ADP, in the design studies of this new mega airport.


The construction was completed in less than 5 years by teams including up to 50,000 workers simultaneously on site.


Inaugurated on September 25th by the Chinese Xi Jinping President, the airport welcomes currently 160 daily flights. This figure will increase to 600 in next spring. Opened with 4 runways and an initial capacity of 45 Mpax, this airport aims to become one of the most important ones in the word, with a traffic which will quickly reach 72 Mpax in 2025, then more than 100 Mpax with the adjunction of two new runways and new buildings.


The existing terminal, 700,000 sqm, has been designed with an innovative functional organization: 2 departures levels and 2 arrivals levels, 16 underground railways under the terminal, a really impressive architecture, a huge using of new technologies and strong environmental ambitions.
