Terminals 2B-2D: renovation and creation of the connecting building

The 4 aims of the project

High quality passenger journeys
for a smoother travel experience.
New layout standards
to meet our customers' expectations with an improved range of shops and services.
More pleasant and modern spaces
inspired by Paris and its way of life.
A responsible management to respect CSR requirements
by providing local employment and improving the building's energy performance.

An iconic building

Les formes courbes de l’ouvrage, en rappel à celles des halls A, B, C et D et de leurs toitures permettent d'optimiser le volume du bâtiment, tout en respectant les contraintes de gabarit depuis la tour de contrôle Sud.

The choice of these curves is consistent with the architectural narrative imagined by Paul Andreu, inaugurated in 1981 with Terminal 2B and later extended to Terminals 2A, 2C and 2D.

77,500 sq.m.
Total surface area
Larger, more fluid spaces

Free of the main compulsory services (baggage delivery and security control) now located in the new connecting building, the layout of Terminal 2B has been completely redesigned. The light-filled public hall runs the full length of the building with a depth of approximately 17 m.

A new Parisian experience

With chef-led restaurants, atmospheric bars and high-end shops, passengers will discover a gourmet area inspired by Parisian markets and covered walkways such as the Carreaux du Temple, the Saint-Quentin market, the Halle Secrétan, and the interior gallery of the Cité Argentine.

The 3 aims of the project

High-quality passenger journeys:

Additional aircraft stands:
to meet increasing traffic.
More spacious satellites:
to improve the atmosphere and comfort of spaces.

Since 2016, Terminal 1, a historic figure of Paris-Charles de Gaulle, has been undergoing a large-scale transformation, ultimately consisting in the unification of all its satellites. The idea of the project is to optimise passenger flows, improve the atmosphere and comfort of the spaces used by our customers, and optimise the installation of aircraft stands.
