Once a Montparnasse resident, Albert Giacometti
would have approved of the institute entirely dedicated to the Swiss sculptor's work. The foundation's 350 sq m (3.800 sq ft) space features 50 sculptures, painting, and drawings, some exhibited for the very first time.
Highlights include a reconstruction of Giacometti's studio, including furniture, personal possessions, easel, and walls painted by the sculptor himself. The foundation will host temporary exhibitions throughout the year (reservation required).
This eloquent tribute is complemented by the musée Maillol's show "Giacometti", until January 20, 2019.
