3 Winter destinations departing from Paris

With Thailand, Mexico and Kenya, we propose three travel ideas to help you discover three cultures on three continents. Pack your suitcases and head for somewhere sunny and warm this winter!

Between the sea and mountains, Thailand offers a wealth of treasures waiting to be discovered

Bangkok, accessible by direct flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle operated by Air France or Thai Airways, offers an essential immersion in Thai culture.

Hop aboard a tuk-tuk* and cross the city to the Wat Pho temple and its reclining Buddha. Receive a blessing from a Buddhist monk in exchange for an offering at the Wat Arun temple. Don’t miss a boat trip on the river Chao Praya and above all be sure to finish your day with a traditional Thai massage in one of the town’s many parlours, followed by a delicious dinner featuring refined tastes and flavours spiced up with a touch of coriander.
Bangkok is also an ideal starting point to discover the landscapes and ethnic peoples of the North before relaxing on the fine sandy beaches in the South.

Between the Gulf and the ocean, criss-cross mysterious Mexico

Mexico City is served by direct flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle operated by Air France or Aerovias de Mexico and Virgin Atlantic.

This vibrant capital is a great place to visit thanks to its outstanding cultural and historical heritage. Discover history during visits to the exhibitions held at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. Walk in the footsteps of earlier cultures at the pre-Hispanic remains of Templo Mayor.

Perhaps you’d prefer something more relaxing? In the East or the West, the amazing beaches of Cancun, Cozumel or Acapulco offer the perfect place to spread out your beach towels and soak up the sun!

Discover Kenya’s fauna and flora from the savannah to the valleys

You can begin your exploration of Kenya’s vast expanses, departing from Nairobi.

Head off for a safari in the Masai Mara reserve and enjoy watching Africa’s large mammals from the hillsides.
Prepare to be surprised by the sheer size of the giraffes and the ferocity of the lions.

Lake Nakuru and its pink flamingos will leave you speechless. Zebras and baboons also come here to feed.
Enjoy this magical spot for a while longer in a campsite with traditional tents, with the gentle sounds of nature as your backdrop.

You can also extend your visit to the country with a stop-off alongside the Indian Ocean, on one of the beaches around Mombasa or the nearby islands, like the legendary Zanzibar.
