An inauguration at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport
After a ferry flight from Boeing's US headquarters in Everett, Washigton, the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
with the colors of the French airline set its wheels on the tarmac at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport
Friday 2 December at 9am.
As is the tradition, airport firefighters welcomed the plane
just in front of Air France headquarters with their famous "water salute
" seen by many guests and airline employees..
First commercial flights in January 2017
From 9 January 2017, the Boeing 787-9 Air France will make its first commercial flight on the Paris - Cairo
line, followed in April 2017 by a Paris - Montreal
link operated on the second aircraft of the airline being soon delivered.
This aircraft will save up to 20% of fuel
. Equipped with Premium seats, the cabin will welcome passengers with new entertainment screens
