A first for a european airport: deluxe caterer and grocer Fauchon has opened a mammoth space to French gastronomy at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2A. A restaurant, chic snack area and gift shop to delight the tastebuds.
Covering nearly 600 square meters (6,500 square feet), the venerable house, founded in 1886, sports an interior design inspired by the original Place de la Madeleine boutique in Paris: a zinc bar, a palette of silver gray and pale pink for the restaurant and gold and black fot the deluxe grocery on the mezzanine. All the traditional delcacies are on the morning menu: traditional and contempory pastries, complete breakfasts or refreshing gourmet brunches (fresh vegetables, lemon tart) all served with choice of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and fruit juices.
A boutique restaurant: at any time of day, in the chic snacking area or restaurant, the savory and sweet menu changes with seasons: chicken and artichoke risotto and the signature Fauchon 1886 burger, or, for a more French taste, the a foie gras duo, cheese plate, wine or Champagne. Not to mention a gourmet selection of sandwiches, salads and desserts for a quick bite. The boutique offers a wide assortment of foie gras, cookies and chocolates, spices, teas and jams as gifts or souvenirs to enjoy at home.
