Cargo Forum 2019
Growth of 5.7%, dynamic traffic flow and a rise in air traffic. These were the key topics spoken about by Marc Houalla, Managing Director of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, at the opening of the annual Cargo Forum on 4 December.
Year after year, the Cargo Forum enables Groupe ADP to reaffirm to the Paris-Charles de Gaulle cargo community its commitment to improving the competitiveness and attractiveness of the airport within the cargo sector.
And this year, the Paris-CDG cargo team opened up the floor to various players in the cargo community, who covered themes including:
- The development of the cargo real estate with the creation of more than 100,000 sq.m of border warehouses by 2023.
- The new CEIV Fresh certification from IATA.
- The construction of new facilities for temperature-sensitive products.
- Preparation for Brexit.
- Innovation, with the presence of the Flying Whales (airships dedicated to the transportation of heavy and oversized loads) and Unilode (smart solutions for fleets of containers at airports) start-ups.
