WFS receives IATA CEIV certification for the new pharma center in Paris-Charles de Gaulle

The Groupe ADP cargo team is pleased to welcome the 9th IATA certified member, CEIV PHARMA, among the cargo community at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has obtained certification for its new pharmaceutical centre at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport for managing pharmaceutical industry and life-science controlled-temperature products.

The Pharma Centre, worth 10 million euros, opened in September 2019, hosting team of dedicated and trained experts, a controlled-temperature storage space and a transport fleet specially adapted to ensure the integrity of pharmaceutical shipments. Almost 30 airlines and freight forwarders already use the Pharma Centre, which is expected to handle more than 8000 tonnes of products in 2020.

Located in the middle of the cargo area at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the 2400 sq.m WFS Pharmaceutical Centre offers landside and airside reception facilities and a large controlled-temperature storage space. The dedicated operation has its own aircraft docking facilities and manoeuvring areas for loading and unloading pharmaceutical shipments at a controlled temperature.

The Centre is served by a fleet of trailers with three controlled-temperature pallets and refrigerated dollies and is also equipped with controlled access, video surveillance and alarm systems to ensure safety and security 24/7, monitored by the company’s security operations centre.

The facility uses new technologies to improve the operational efficiency and visibility of the shipments, along with Pulse, the WFS worldwide cloud-based incident management and real-time inspection platform.

Groupe ADP works hand-in-hand with the cargo community to offer high-quality and outstanding services to all of its customers.
